Heather the Jetsetter
Chapter 4: Winning London
By Sunday morning I'd given up worrying about the bag and decided to enjoy my last day to the full!
After another breakfast at Fuzzy Grub and a trip to Primark to return the unused clothes, Andi, Amy, Stu, and I headed to Hyde Park -- I figured it was about time to give another green space a try :-)

We walked around a fair amount of the park, enjoyed the views, and the guys were put to work on the pedal boats. The sun even came out!!

Despite the beauty of Hyde Park, I couldn't be talked out of a visit to Green Park. Amy made me a daisy chain bracelet to dress up my outfit O:-)
(snagged the photo from Andi)

From Green Park we took a typically long walk for me, but I felt almost guilty about dragging everyone else along and ignoring the Tube...we had already walked from Primark to Hyde Park to Green Park. We crossed the street to Buckingham Palace, walked to Westminster Bridge to cross the Thames, and walked along South Bank until we found Gourmet Pizza Company. Like Giraffe, it was my third time eating there but unfortunatly the pizza wasn't as good as the first two times. Still, the company was nice.
(another photo snagged from Andi)

By the time dinner was over it was getting late, and I asked if we could see Tower Bridge all lit up. Something about the quiet of the evening, the beatiful view, and my jetsetting weekend coming to a close brought on the waterworks. I finally realized that I had flown to London FOR THE WEEKEND. How crazy is that?! I thought about my bag and the new clothes I had inside and may never see again...materialistic, yes, but I just wanted it back. And as Andi, Dave, and I walked back to the flat, I knew that even though I had traveled to London 3 times in a year and a half, I had no idea when I'd be able to come back again...but probably not in the next year and a half. Thinking that I wouldn't see these folks again for maybe 2 years just wouldn't compute...and it still doesn't seem possible, even though I know it's what is most likely.
Taken with my camera but Dave composed and took the shot:

Time to sleep one last night at the flat...
Til the next chapter ♥
