Wicked fantastic Friday and Saturday

Top 5 Reasons Friday rocked:
1) Weather.com predicted rain throughout the week but we never saw a drop...that is until yesterday morning. It lasted only and hour an then the sun shone brightly!
2) Sagrada Familia was breathtaking.
3) *Great* girl talk with Nicole.
4) Finally met some cool hostel mates to spend time with! We met them briefly Thursday night and Friday night they shared a bottle of their wine with us.
5) AMAZING tapas and conversation with our new pals (cousins -- one from Kentucky and the other from Switzerland). We all agreed it was the best meal we´d had yet.

One of Nicole´s former bosses recommended Ciudad Condal for excellent tapas, and we were more than impressed with his suggestion. We made it out of there for only 10 Euros a person, which was shocking given the number of things we tried. Our favorite thing was the grilled mushrooms -- they were in tasty olive oil and garlic!

Saturday wasn´t bad either...

We finally stopped at Mercat de la Boqueria to see the fresh fruit, meat, and fish stands. It had come highly recommended to us by our hostel mates and I was not let down!! The market was large and had tent after tent of fresh fruit -- whole pieces, inexpensive fruit bowls (I bought one with strawberries, kiwi, and pineapple for 1.50 and LOVED it), and fresh-squeezed fruit juices. In the back of the market was an incredible organic food stand, called Organic is Orgasmic. Looking at the food, I believe it...! Every single item looked amazing and I can´t wait to try their food later this week.

There are 7 more reasons today was enjoyable, and those will have to wait until another post.
