It doesn't happen to you, you happen to life

After Andi got home from work last night, Katie, Dave, Robin, and I sat around the flat, staring at the walls and thinking about how we should get up but how comfortable it was to sit and stare blankly. Thankfully that didn't last all night :-)

We headed to a non-smoking pub, an early adopter of the "England is going non-smoking on July 1st!" campaign/law. There, we continued to sit and stare at the walls a bit, but at least conversation kicked back in and we were able to make plans for a concert we're all going to tonight.

The walk back to the flat was so gorgeous. We took a staircase at Tower Bridge down to a walkway right by the Thames. I don't think Tower Bridge is all that wonderful in the day time, but at night, it's magnificent. The rest of the group kept moving, but I kept stopping to turn around and admire the view. I can't really capture the atmosphere in words, but I could take that walk every night and not grow tired of it.

Back at the flat, Katie and I found ourselves with a second wind, as it was only 5pm at home. Still, moments after my head hit the pillow I was sound asleep, and I didn't wake up until 5am when the bright London morning beckoned me to the balcony through the curtains.

Robin's on his way back home to get more clothes, Andi's off to work, and Katie, Dave, and I are getting ready to head to the Walkabout bar in Covent Garden to watch the first match in the State of Origin game. You have *no* idea how excited I am!!! Almost a year ago I was watching the second of the three matches with Sarah from QUT in her flat in Brisbane. Now it's time to get another dose of Rugby League, Aussie style!

We have a great idea how to spend the day, so off I go to enjoy it to the full!

Cheers ♥
